About the event

Join us at Summer Leys to learn aall about the beautiful butterflies we have at the reserve! You'll build your very own wooden butterfly box to take home with you tp provide shelter for butterflies throughout the year, including over the winter when some species hibernate. We'll then head on to the reserve to learn about butterflies and have a go at the Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count.

This activity involves the use of hand tools so close adult supervision is required. Most suitable for ages 5+.

Please book a ticket for each box you would like to build (i.e. if you'd like to bring more than one child but just build one box between them, purchase one ' butterfly box' ticket and then use the 'additional child' ticket for any extras).
