About the event

Join us for a fun morning of bushcraft whilst enjoying time in nature in our education area at Summer Leys. You can take part in a range of bushcraft and forest school-style activities, including learning how to use tools safely and learn how to create fires using flint and steels before enjoying toasted marshmallows over a campfire*. These activities are fun for all the family and we encourage adults to get involved too!

Due to the nature of these activities, children must be at least 7 years old and supervised by an adult on a 1:1 basis. Additional children over 12 years of age may be permitted to attend at the organisers discretion. Please contact us to confirm.

Please ensure all attendees wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. As we will be using fire, long hair should be tied back and clothing made from natural fibres i.e. cotton, linen or wool should be worn wherever possible.

*please note, if the weather has been particularly hot and dry, we will not be able to light a full campfire, but you can still practice your fire lighting skills safely.

CAR PARKING: Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys and can be paid for on the day (card payments only). Parking for members of the Wildlife Trust BCN is FREE - Members MUST register their vehicles to access free parking, for more information please visit here.
